Stewarding the Network
Stewards are not owners. They are not administrators. They are contributors who care — who anchor access, respond to memory, and build the infrastructure people depend on.
Each steward holds a role, a responsibility, and a record in the Codex. Whether maintaining a shelter, designing policy, creating transport routes, running a local food node, or helping someone submit a memory — stewards form the living backbone of the network.
Their contributions are logged and remembered. Their decisions shape the system. Their names are listed not as titles, but as roles of trust — defined by the work they carry and the people they serve.
What Do Stewards Earn?
Stewards earn CIV — a Civic Unit of Access. Pegged to $1 USD, CIV can be used across the network to unlock shelter, mobility, workspace, and shared tools.
The same amount of CIV can go much further in one region than another. A steward earning 2,000 CIV in Vietnam can access 15–20 nights of shelter, while the same in San Francisco may cover just 4–5. This is intentional. CIV rewards contribution equally, but redeems regionally — unlocking true global equity.

Become a Steward
Stewardship begins with intent. If you’re ready to support access, help others navigate the network, or hold a shared space online or offline — you are ready.
To become a steward, reach out to curator@caelora.network with your area of interest or intended role. Founders receive an initial CIV grant. Ongoing contributions are logged transparently and rewarded.
